Keep the change ya filthy animals.

where precisely shall they keep the change ? thats right. this DIY altoid tin wallet (: you dont have to confine your use of this to coins only, they are perfect size for headphones, gum, bobby pins, hair ties > anything you need ! they are perfect little sizes to keep in your purse for all the odds and ends (:

Supply yourself with :
- tissue paper
- mod podge
- paint brush
- acrylic paint
- altoid tins
- clear glaze spray
- scissors

thiss part is very optional, but it is how we got the picture on the lid. It is very possible to just paint a design, or even keep it a solid color !

so, this is the method on how to print onto the tissue paper:
 1. cut the sheets of tissue paper just smaller than an normal sheet of paper.
2. tape it carefully to a piece of computer paper, making sure the tape wouldn't be in the way of the picture your printing.
3. Send the paper through your printer like normal *keep in mind you'll have to put the paper upside down, logically, so it prints onto the right side*
4. Let the ink dry and cut out the pictures.

NOW for the tins (:
1. Start with clean tins. get all the little mint dust out of them, and dry them out completely.
2. Take your time and paint on a few layers of acrylic paint onto the outside of the tin. Make sure yo let them dry completely before going onto the next coat.

3. Once you have the outside painted, move on to the inside. ** tip: make sure the layer of paint on the inside rim is very thin. adding to many layer will make it very tricky to close and open.
4. Let everything dry once more.
5. Now its time to add you tissue paper photo. Cut it to the size you need and get out your mod podge. Brush a thin layer straight onto the top of the tins, and carefully place the tissue paper onto the glue. Brush one more thin layer on top of that. we also did the same to the inside of the lid, but that is totally up to you(:

6. Once the mod podge has dried, bring them outside and give them a good spray to seal the paint and prevent chips. Dry overnight, and you are doneeee !!
