Keep the change ya filthy animals.

where precisely shall they keep the change ? thats right. this DIY altoid tin wallet (: you dont have to confine your use of this to coins only, they are perfect size for headphones, gum, bobby pins, hair ties > anything you need ! they are perfect little sizes to keep in your purse for all the odds and ends (:

Supply yourself with :
- tissue paper
- mod podge
- paint brush
- acrylic paint
- altoid tins
- clear glaze spray
- scissors

thiss part is very optional, but it is how we got the picture on the lid. It is very possible to just paint a design, or even keep it a solid color !

so, this is the method on how to print onto the tissue paper:
 1. cut the sheets of tissue paper just smaller than an normal sheet of paper.
2. tape it carefully to a piece of computer paper, making sure the tape wouldn't be in the way of the picture your printing.
3. Send the paper through your printer like normal *keep in mind you'll have to put the paper upside down, logically, so it prints onto the right side*
4. Let the ink dry and cut out the pictures.

NOW for the tins (:
1. Start with clean tins. get all the little mint dust out of them, and dry them out completely.
2. Take your time and paint on a few layers of acrylic paint onto the outside of the tin. Make sure yo let them dry completely before going onto the next coat.

3. Once you have the outside painted, move on to the inside. ** tip: make sure the layer of paint on the inside rim is very thin. adding to many layer will make it very tricky to close and open.
4. Let everything dry once more.
5. Now its time to add you tissue paper photo. Cut it to the size you need and get out your mod podge. Brush a thin layer straight onto the top of the tins, and carefully place the tissue paper onto the glue. Brush one more thin layer on top of that. we also did the same to the inside of the lid, but that is totally up to you(:

6. Once the mod podge has dried, bring them outside and give them a good spray to seal the paint and prevent chips. Dry overnight, and you are doneeee !!

Hoooooow fuuuuun, noooo ?

Wanna catch the boys' eyes? Why not try be as stylish as Eleanor Calder?

Being a directioner does not mean JUST liking the boy's music, or just knowing their first names. Being a fan means you love Lux, Paul, Danielle, Eleanor, Perrie, Josh and the whoooooooole crew.

This week we decided to honor the ever so stylish Eleanor Calder. She looks great always, even at the airport.

While not all of us are able to afford to dress that fabulously, we can try a few DIYs to fulfill our accessary craves.

Lets start with super simple DIY button rings <3 i swear, its SUPER DUPER easy.

Its not much of a tutorial, but we decided to share what supplies are best, and where to get them. LETTSSS GOOOOOO...

SUPPLIES:
- ring backs. {may also be called ring platforms} *ours are from Joann Fabrics, like $4 for 8*
- any button of your choice
- super glue *E6000 all the way*
- wire cutters *if your buttons have the little loops on the back*

1. Check to make sure all of your buttons lay flat, if not use scissors or wire cutters to snip off the little loops.

2. Put a nice glob onto the ring backs, and onto the back of the buttons. Then stick 'em together.

3. Set them down as shown in the "dry" picture above and let dry overnight.

4. AND THATS IT.

Rock your new rings anywhere, to always look your best (:

I pledge allegiance to the band . . .

There is no better way of representing our four brits and leprechaun then this bad boy ...
Yes, my mom first saw this picture and thought the ink in our printer had distorted the image. No, not everyone will understand it. But hey, this is what waves in our world. Why not show it off with this super cute, super easy DIY bottle cap necklace ?

The easiest way to accomplish this would be to run off to your local scrap-booking store. They should have all the necessities.

You'll need:

- Bottle caps
- Jump ring
- Photo of choice, printed out
- Diamond glaze
- Chain
- Pencil
- Scissors

1. First print out your photo. Make it small enough, so when you cut out a circle your entire design will fit.
2. Once its printed, do your best at tracing the bottle cap (around a 1" circle). This is where the scrap-booking store could help you first, ours had a 1" hole punch they let us use.

3. Next you'll need a small hole punched into the lip of the cap. Once again, scrap-booking store came to the rescue with the perfect tool.
4. Open up the jump ring, slip it though the hole, and close it.
5. Now its time to put everything together. Squeeze a thin layer of the diamond glaze into the bottom of the bottle cap. Gently press the photo into it and smooth out any air bubbles.
6. Now slowly squeeze a thick layer of the glaze onto the top. Once you've filled it almost to the top, let it dry overnight.
7. The next morning string the jump ring onto the chain and wear it proudly.

Baby you LIGHT up my world ...

... like no body else.

The boys of one direction all have their own individual styles > from the colors, outfits, shoes, and hair. We all can probably recite these details faster than our first and last name, and to me that shows talent.

Lou rocks his stripes every chance he gets. I felt it was about time to bring this element into a craft (:

I have had this plain old battery operated candle for a while now and it was screaming to me to do something with it! You could probably find one at most stores, you'd just need to look around. If you have trouble finding the battery one, a normal candle would work just the same. I just would not recommend lighting it, keep it for decoration purpose only.

collect ...

a battery operated candle
double sided tape
glitter
scissors
a spray on sealer
a small paintbrush
a paper plate

1. Cut strips of the double sided tape just long enough to fit around you candle.

2. Stick them onto the candle, forming stripes. Make sure all of your seams lined up in the back, so you do not see them.

3. When your happy with your stripes, peel off the paper on the tape ( if yours has paper ) and carefully sprinkle on your glitter. Do this over a paper plate, to keep away the mess and save the excess glitter.

4. There might be some extra glitter floating around in between the stripes. If so, easily brush it off with the small paint brush.

5. Next take your candle out side and give it a good spray on all sides. Leave it on the paper plate, and let it dry over night.

AND THATS IT! easy huh?
ohh yeah .. &

Pop a Cork for the 2 Year Anniversary

This couldn't be a more momentous day, and I am proud to wish 1D a very happy second birthday.
On that note, today I created a decorated cork board by repurposing an old and broken cork trivet I literally had to pull out of the garbage.  ( completely clean I may add, I'm not that weird )

Yourrr supplies:

Fabric (red, white, and blue)
Fabric scissors
Anything cork (:
Mod podge
Paint brushes
Supplies for super duper push pins:

Push pins
Brush on gloss
Paint brushes
Small paper cups
Ultra fine glitter

     1. The reason my family had to retire our cork circle was because it completely cracked in half. And as the saying goes, one mans trash is another mans treasure. I liked the half circle look, so I just took a serrated knife and evened out the bottom.

     2. Next take your blue fabric, and cut out whatever shape your cork is making it slightly larger.

     3. Cover the front of the cork with a nice layer of mod podge with your brush and place onto the fabric. I suggest letting it then dry completely. It will make the next step a lot less messy.

     4. Once the front is dry, take your fabric scissors and make little snips along the edge. ( I lack of a better way of describing them.. I suggest checking out the pic )

     5. Cover the sides of the cork and the little fabric flags in mod podge and fold them up one at a time. Again, let them dry completely.

     6. While your waiting for it to dry, start with your white fabric and cut out the four strips needed to make the flag.  Do the same thing with the red. Make sure you lay them all out together, checking the length and width and making sure it all looks right.

     7. Grab the mod podge again, and brush some onto the front of your cork (on top of the blue fabric) where the white is going to go. Stick down the fabric and repeat with your red fabric.

     8. Let dry. ( you could help it out a little with the hair dryer, on cool)
     9. While I was waiting I took out some of my push pins to "sparkle". In the paper cup, mix together a small amount of the gloss and glitter. Stir with a paint brush.

     10. Find something to stick the pins in so they stand up, I used our bathroom tissue box (but lets not tell my mom that one)

     11. Using the glitter gloss brush on a nice layer. let it dry.

     12. This step is optional. You can (a) leave your board as is (b) layer on one coat of the plain gloss (c) be a little crazy like me and add some of the glitter gloss. i used clear glitter, just on the red. i couldn't resist! i am now in the mood to glitter everything!

     13. Once everything dries, you're done !

TADA ! Im thinking of making one with magnets on the back .. thoughts ?
